It’s no secret that the O&L studio designers are inspired by nature, our collections in the last few years have showcased designs such as PALM HOUSE, KATSURA and MICHELIA. 

This year after a trip to Falmouth, Trebah gardens, and the surrounding areas in Cornwall, our designers put paint to paper to capture the beauty they found there.

Studies of the plant species, the coastline, waterways and even a historic castle were hand-illustrated with gouache paint, and then digitally layered together, creating a vivid imaginary landscape.

Visitors to this part of England will recognise not only the variety of botanicals featured in this design, but also the study of Pendennis Castle. This picturesque coastal Tudor castle in Falmouth is set on a headland with breath-taking views out to sea.

This design has been produced in two colourways, as both a wallpaper and velvet.
